Search for Admins, Rules and The Best Of January
Call of Duty
Here came the new year and new challenges! The only trouble is that our group admins faced more and more deeds IRL that sometimes even the voting on new submissions got endangered. We had a call for new admins previously and this is still alive. If you would participate in the group's daily life, want to give your two cents in the submission process and wish to help keeping this group alive that has already five years of history—please don't hesitate! The Photography World needs YOU!
First of all, you will need time to participate in the group's life. It is a daily deed but gives a lot of fun and good moments to meet the beautiful works that our members submit to us. Of course you will meet those submissions, too, that cannot receive the necessary votes, but this will help you, too. In long term this will help you develop your own style and refine your ability to avoid cl
Bridges hold many meanings for us. They represent a short cut (but with a certain danger; as evolved apes, falling is still a primal fear). They represent boundaries and crossing over them. They signify one’s past and one’s future. Visually, they can be as awe-inspiring as the Golden Gate or as sweetly bucolic as a row of wooden planks spanning a country creek. Bridges for foot, train and vehicle traffic all have their distinctive separate characters. “The fate of the bridges is to be lonely; because bridges are to cross not

Monkwearmouth Station © Wayman 2015
The museum is housed in an outstanding grade 2* listed 1840s station building, commissioned by the famous railway entrepreneur George Hudson, displaying many original features such as the ticket booths, fireplaces and shuttered windows.
It was built in the 1840s and was once the main railway station in the city.
The station was designed by Thomas Moore of Sunderland and opened in 1848 as the Sunderland terminus for trains from Gateshead and Newcastle. It closed in 1967 and was bought by the Corporation for conversion into a museum.
